# Pricing and tiers

> How RYTZ is priced — what's free, what's premium, and what each tier unlocks.

import { Card, CardGroup } from '@mintlify/components'

RYTZ is built around a generous free tier — enough for most users to evaluate the platform and produce a meaningful first draft — with a premium subscription that unlocks the AI-heavy and document-intelligence features.

## Free tier

Every account starts on the free tier. You get:

* Full Master Case File setup (Tailored intake, all fields)
* Full **Parenting Planner** — every clause, every editor, real-time preview
* Full **Settlement Planner** — Asset Pool, Contributions, Future Needs, Just & Equitable steps
* **PDF / DOCX / Markdown export** — unlimited, every format
* **Plan Readiness Ribbon** — three tiers, every check
* **Case Roadmap** — every stage walked through
* **5 free AI assistant messages** — so you can evaluate the chat
* **Email support** at [tech@rytz.com.au](mailto:tech@rytz.com.au)

The free tier is intentionally permissive. We want users to be able to produce a Solicitor-review-ready parenting plan or a defensible settlement analysis without paying.

## Premium subscription

The premium tier unlocks the AI-heavy and document-intelligence features:

* **Unlimited AI chat** — no message quota
* **Document Intelligence** — upload your court documents (or the other party's), the platform extracts the facts, dates, and legal exposure
* **Strategic Briefings** — AI-generated, structured the way a senior solicitor would prepare them. Run on demand for parenting (s60CC analysis) or property (s79 fairness analyser)
* **Rice v Asplund readiness check** — the variation-readiness analyser for existing orders
* **Priority support** — same email, faster response

## What it costs

The current pricing is published on the platform's [pricing page](https://app.rytz.com.au/pricing). It's a monthly subscription, with discounted annual billing. Specific numbers aren't documented here because they change — always check the live pricing page.

## What you'll spend with — and without — premium

A useful frame:

| Path | Free tier cost | Lawyer cost (typical) | Total |
| ------------------------ | ---------------------- | -------------------------------------- | ------------------------ |
| Self-rep, free tier only | \$0                    | \$300–500 (one consult before signing) | \$300–500                |
| Self-rep, premium tier   | One subscription cycle | \$300–500 (same consult)               | Subscription + \$300–500 |
| Lawyer-led, no platform  | \$0                    | \$5,000–25,000+ (parenting + property) | \$5,000–25,000+          |

The premium tier is designed to reduce the number of lawyer hours you need by a meaningful margin — typically saving thousands in matters where you'd otherwise be paying a lawyer to do structured work the platform can do for you.

## Cancelling

You can cancel anytime in **Settings → Billing**. Your data stays in your account; you just lose access to the premium features. If you re-subscribe later, everything resumes from where you left off.

We don't lock you in. If RYTZ isn't working for you, walk away cleanly.

## A note on edge cases

If you're in genuine financial hardship, email **[tech@rytz.com.au](mailto:tech@rytz.com.au)** — we have a hardship pathway. Family-law matters are stressful enough; the cost of the platform shouldn't be the reason you don't get help.
